 Monday Night Black Belt Class!

Ok, with so much going on we have not posted much about the new school and new classes. Here is a little gallery of BB class last night, just to keep all of you motivated and aware that while you might be slacking on your training, the mats are full of super dedicated students! We'll see you on the mats!

It's Prof. Amal Easton's last day at RABJJ, he heads back to Boulder tomorrow. Thank you Prof. Easton! As always, our students were blown away by your knowledge!

Invitational Results!

What an event! Simply spectacular! A total of 32 schools were invited to participate in the 2008 Renzo Gracie Invitational, so if you had the opportunity to be at the 2007 edition, you could see this year an amazing growth and improvement. This is a great chance provided to us once a year to be in touch with all Renzo Gracie Associated Instructors and students. The environment is fantastic, super friendly, and all of us have the chance to showcase our skills competing against each other without any rivalry or pressure. If you couldn't be a part of it this year, 2009 will be even bigger. The amount of participants doubled last years', literally!

Take a look at the 5 winning schools. Trophies went to:

1st place - Renzo Gracie Academy NYC.
2nd place - Ricardo Almeida Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy.
3rd place - Renzo Gracie Ottawa

CONGRATULATIONS to all competitors, instructors, organizers and supporters! It was amazing!
An even bigger thank you to Ocean County BJJ (Coach Tom DeBlass), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Center (Prof. Bill Scott), South Jersey Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Prof. Steven Bongiorno) and last but NOT LEAST BJM Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Prof. Brian McPherson) for preparing so well their own students so they could contribute to the best result we could possibly wish for. Thanks, guys! We couldn't have done it without you!

Thank you Mestre Renzo Gracie for making this possible for all of us. It gave us pleasure to see that it took you a hour and a half to get through the door after taking pictures with all of your fans and students. You are the man!

Now we'd like to share with you some pictures, but we don't have podium pictures, pictures of  medalists' big smiles and/or friends and family.We would appreciate if you could send some pictures our way. We need to make sure that every familiar face is posted here. Enjoy!

Yesterday we had an incredible time at Mestre Renzo's Academy in NY! Renzo Gracie Instructors from all over the world took time out of their busy schedules to be a part of such revolutionary meeting, and we can say positively that Jiu Jitsu's evolution is about to be taken to a whole new level. We're definitely excited to be a part of it!
