Kids Jiu Jitsu Program in Hamilton

The Little Grapplers Program was specifically designed and developed for children 5 to 8 years of age.

The effectiveness of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu makes it one of the most sought after martial arts in the world. However, it is the principles instilled in the practitioners of the gentle art that has made the style- created by the Gracie family- so unique and appealing.

As Professor Ricardo Almeida states, “all students of our academy are here to study and develop three things: a strong body, a sharp mind, and a non-quitting spirit. The self defense techniques are the vehicle which drives our students there.”

Classes are held four days a week, and are 45 minutes long.  This is a reduced pace, which is more in tune with the attention span of the age group.

The goal of our Little Grapplers program is to instill in our students a positive, healthy and active life style while having fun. 

The Ricardo Almeida Jiu Jitsu Academy has a reputation for producing world class martial artists.  However, at this key developmental stage our program focuses on preparing the Little Grapplers technically, physically and mentally to participate in our Teens Jiu Jitsu Program.
